Jim has nearly 30 years of experience in the 歐美性愛 Lending Industry. A seasoned FCA registered investment banking and financial services professional, he has a proven track record of designing and delivering bespoke solutions for institutional clients across the securities finance ecosystem.

Jim joined MUFG in 2021 to support Tim Smollen鈥檚 team, in building a leading third-party and local custody alternative provider within the Agency Lending space. Prior to that, he was Co-Head of Agency Lending for EMEA & APAC at Deutsche Bank, where he oversaw the firms ASL program from 2019 to 2021. Before this, he led Deutsche Bank鈥檚 International Equity Lending desk for over a decade, establishing himself as a recognised expert and thought leader in the field. Earlier in his career, Jim held key roles at Dresdner/Commerzbank between 2004 and 2009 working alongside Tim Smollen and Jay Schreyer to build a third-party agency lending platform. Prior to this between 1996 and 2004 he also held trading positions across both Fixed Income and Equities at Deutsche Bank and State Street and spent several years in Hong Kong, where he successfully established and grew Deutsche Bank鈥檚 Asia Pacific Agency Lending business.

Jim began his career in 1990 at the Royal Bank of Scotland, covering North American and Latin American markets within the 歐美性愛 Services division.

Andrew has spent 35 years in the City working in the post trade space.

He started at Citibank in the Worldwide 歐美性愛 Services group where he ultimately managed the European Customer Service team for the Clearing & Custody businesses before moving to Deutsche鈥檚 Investment Bank to run middle office for Money Markets and Fixed income. 聽Leaving to join Swift scrl, he led the 歐美性愛 Strategy team and started the Government Relations function through his involvement in a number of pan-european initiatives including Giovannini. Subsequently, he spent 13 years at DTCC where he was both CEO of DTCC鈥檚 largest Derivatives Trade Repository, DDRL and the head of DTCC鈥檚 Regulatory Affairs for UK, EU and APAC.聽From 2021-2023, he was also Chair of the Data Standards Committee for the Bank of England鈥檚 鈥楾ransforming Data Collection鈥 initiative.聽

Andrew left DTCC in early 2023 to start his own advisory business, BlackWater Consultancy Ltd.

Today, Andrew is the Chair of the UK Accelerated Settlement taskforce leading the planning and implementation of the UK migration to T+1 in 2027.

He is also Chair of the Strategic Advisory Group for TaxTec Ltd, a fintech specialising in tax recovery in the post trade space as well as a Senior Advisor to Financial Services clients of Apco Worldwide in Brussels and London.

He has a BSc in Materials Technology from Surrey University and an MBA from Manchester Business School.
